ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The Marie-Claude Rousseau School of Irish Dancing is taught by Marie-Claude, who received her TCRG in 1986. Situated in Verdun, the school has been growing continuously throughout the years. The main focus of the school is to allow dancers to learn and have fun in a friendly environment and to encourage them to be the best dancers that they can possibly be.
Although competition is not a main priority, the school does excel with those who decide to compete. Dancers travel year round to compete in various cities, such as: Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara Falls, St.Catherines, Syracuse NY, Albany NY, Rockland County NY, and Watertown NY.
PERFORMANCES
The Marie-Claude Rousseau School of Irish Dancing performs all year long through out Quebec . The majority of shows are done on a volunteer basis, at hospitals, senior residences and for various community organizations. We participate yearly in the Montreal St. Patrick's Day Parade, and in 1999 we won the title of Best Celtic Dancing Unit. The school has also been featured on many local TV shows here in Montreal. The Marie-Claude Rousseau School of Irish dancing is available to dance at birthday parties, engagement dinners, weddings and any other special occasions.
